Access Statement for Mereside Apartment
The Mereside apartment is on the first floor of a late Victorian Lakeland stone house on the shores of lake Windermere. It is accessed via a wide staircase with half landing from the main entrance to the building. There is a handrail on the left had side as you go up. We have tried to provide as much information in this statement but if you do have any concerns please email or call prior to booking.
Arrival & Car Parking
Parking spaces are provided within a few yards of the entrance door to the apartments. There are 3 steps, with hand rails on each side leading to the front door. There is another small step to gain access to the property. The key hole height is 85cm. The key safe boxes are located next to the front door and are another 20cm higher.
Bedrooms
The master bedroom has a king size bed with room either side. All rooms have fitted draws and wardrobes. The second double bedroom has restricted access to the far side. There is a smaller single room with a bed against the wall and window sill.
Bathroom / Shower Room
The Family bathroom has a level access from the landing. There is restricted room immediately adjacent to the right hand side of the WC. There is a shower over the bath. There are no hand rails.
The Master bedroom ensuite has a single step up from the bedroom floor of 6 inches. There is restricted area immediately adjacent to the WC. There is a walk in shower.
Lounge / Dining area
The kitchen / lounge are is on one level. Wooden and carpeted flooring.
There is a large balcony accessed through sliding patio doors with a small threshold.
Heating controls in the hall area are at a height of 168cm.
